Alli … Today we get to look at how God sees YOU Alli … with great delight, rejoicing over you! Yes, God has another Scripture that is just for you today. While its focus is on how God DELIGHTS in you, this one Scripture is packed with truths to remember… five of them! Usually, I will use The Voice translation for the Scriptures since it is my favorite and you already have it (my old copy). However … to best see these, we will look at this Scripture in three of my favorite translations.
First, God is right there with you. His presence is all around you Alli. He is in your midst! [interesting side note: I have a website called GodIsInOurMidst.com ]
Second, God is a champion… a warrior … a mighty savior … a hero… and is there to rescue you. You are a hero too Alli, a legacy Hero of the Hallways!
Third, God delights in you greatly and joyfully celebrates over you.
Fourth, God loves you a lot. And as you accept his love he renews you and calms your fears.
Fifth, God is not silently delighting in you. No, he is shouting with joy over you. He is singing joyful songs over you. He is celebrating and wants you to be part of it, Alli.
Heavenly Father. Abba. Thank you for being with me this day. Thank you for revealing things to me … and forgive me for messing up and not following through with what you let me see. Please don’t let my failures get in the way of what you are doing… for you are doing amazing things. You are speaking today. You are showing up more and more it seems. Thank you for letting me be part of this, even when I am not getting it just right. Thank you for letting me know that I can start anew with you in the morning… every morning! Thank you for the scripture for my prayer for my Legacy buddy, the daughter of the King … presented first from The Voice (my favorite translation):
The Eternal your God is standing right here among you,
and He is the champion who will rescue you.
He will joyfully celebrate over you;
He will rest in His love for you;
He will joyfully sing because of you like a new husband. (Zephaniah 3:17)
Next from the New English Translation (NET) which included over 60,000 notes explaining how and why they translated the text as they did:
The Lord your God is in your midst;
he is a warrior who can deliver.
He takes great delight in you;
he renews you by his love;
he shouts for joy over you. (NET)
Also look at the NLT version (considered by many to be a most readable translation):
For the Lord your God is living among you.
He is a mighty savior.
He will take delight in you with gladness.
With his love, he will calm all your fears.
He will rejoice over you with joyful songs. (NLT)
Lord, I pause now to lift up my Legacy buddy to you. With joy I lift Your Alli up to You. Come Lord … every morning be there when your daughter wakes. Let Your righteousness be seen each morning. Give her time with you with each sunrise. Come. And Alli … know that the Lord is with you. He is in your midst. His power gives you victory! He delights in you. He takes delight in you right this very minute. He loves you so much that your fears can just melt away! He is singing over you as I pray this … and he will be singing over you when you finally get to read my prayers! He is joyful over you … exceedingly joyful … like people at a big celebration. So join me this day in glorifying the Lord … let us give Him all the glory. Yes. Lord, all the glory is to You. All the glory is Yours. We give you all the glory. GLORY! I pray this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen.
