Alli … well, finally I have a good setup figured out for your website. For your prayers, I thought I would do an A-Z set of prayers revolving around who God says you are (and who you are from my view). I bought a neat keyboard to use for the keycaps words, but it didn’t work out and I had to return it. Instead I am using a black keyboard that I already had. I bought three sets of red keycaps to use for the letter of the words, but the black letters on the dark red keycaps was too hard to read, so I decided to use the pink keycaps that I already had.
And just what am I talking about? Well, I pull keycaps OFF of the keyboard, and then I insert the new keycaps in their place… spelling out a word. Yeah, of course if you were actually typing on the keyboard, I didn’t change the letters that would come out when you pressed each key 🙂 but it is a fun visual effect that I am able to do quite simply. Here is a photo of my setup in the kitchen making a keyboard to photo for the letter B:

However, that was getting ahead of myself … let’s start at the very beginning … the letter A.
I chose a word that seems to fit you to a T (sorry for the pun … that letter is a ways ahead yet:)
ATTENTIVE
And what is meant by the word attentive? I found an interesting article that talked about it. This paragraph stood out to me:
Attentiveness enables us to live proactively, focused on the needs of others. Many people do not even care for those they talk to. They are but an audience. Attentiveness, however, requires a beneficial—even life-fulfilling—outward look. We pay attention to the faces and lives of those around us. We pay close attention to God but also are attentive to those around us in this world below. If people were made in God’s image, it demands that we love them.
The Christway Counseling Center describes attentive as the opposite of unconcern. They say it is:
Showing the worth of a person by giving undivided attention to their words and emotions.
And this is how I see you Alli. I see you focusing on the needs of those around you. I see you paying attention to them… to their lives. You are placing THEIR needs before your own.
So, I think we are ready now … let me pray for you Alli.
Good evening Heavenly Father. What a wonderful day it was today. So many of those small sparrows at our bird feeder … and even a couple cardinals! Birds are so much fun to watch. They seem to be having a party… a continual party! They must know that You are always taking care of them. Oh, that we could live like that … always remembering that You care for us! And that ties right into my first prayer for Your daughter Alli. She is so attentive to those around her. She places their needs before her own. In the Bible that I gave you (The Voice) you should look up Romans 12:10, which is:
Live in true devotion to one another, loving each other as sisters and brothers. Be first to honor others by putting them first.
Another translation refers to “taking delight in honoring others“.
Lord, it’s me! I’m here to pray for Your daughter you love. I’m here to pray for Alli. Lord, You see her honoring those around her… always putting their needs before her own. I ask that You find ways to let Alli know that you are watching over her… that You are caring for her just as she is caring for others. Lord, I ask that You grant Alli favor … take the burdens off her. Fill her with Your love and Your joy. Improve her health. Remove anything that is making her feel “unwell” and “not herself”. I ask that you be her provider and her healer. And we will give You the glory. The glory is all Yours, Lord. Glory! I pray and ask this in the name and authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings. Amen.
